Before first use

Salt crusting around the probe tip is normal. If present, rinse under tap water and hydrate.

Hydrate

  1. Remove the storage cap from the probe tip. Add a few drops of KCl Storage Solution, ensuring there is enough KCl to cover the probe tip.
  2. Place the storage cap back over the probe tip and leave for 24 hours.

Maximise the life & accuracy of your ORP Probe

  • Rinse under fresh tap water after each use
  • Clean probe regularly. Check probe health by placing it in an ORP check solution.
  • Never use RO / distilled / deionised water for storage
  • Ensure the storage cap is filled with enough KCl Storage Solution and replaced after each use

The Bluelab ORP Meter doubles as a pH Meter when fitted with the Bluelab pH Probe (sold separately).

To switch between mV (ORP) and pH modes, press the CAL button and follow the Getting Started Guide for the pH Probe.
